Rachel Ruins Therapy

Therapist, educator, and disruptor grounded in family systems, bringing a lived neurodivergent lens to sensory-informed, relationally-driven clinical work. Let's burn it down together!

What You'll Learn

Therapists, it’s time to upgrade your ND literacy. This course pulls back the curtain on Adult Autism and ADHD, not just the diagnostic criteria, but the lived experiences behind the labels. We’ll dig into the history (read: why so many of us got missed), the myths (no, it's not all eye contact and fidget spinners), and the realities of what it means to be neurodivergent in a world that wasn’t built for you. Instead of pathologizing what makes people different, we’ll explore neurodivergence through a strengths-based, relational lens, one that actually helps, not harms. You’ll learn how to recognize sensory profiles, support executive functioning challenges, and stop confusing trauma, anxiety, or personality disorders with ND presentations (because yes, that happens all the time). We’ll also tackle how to reframe prior assessments and misdiagnoses so you can stop perpetuating harm and start doing better. We’ll dive into real strategies for improving boundaries, communication patterns, and relational dynamics across individual, couple, and family work. By the end, you'll have a stronger clinical compass for supporting neurodivergent clients with nuance, empathy, and actual tools that work.

I learned so much about myself, but also about clients and their presentations in sessions and things they would say. I have a deeper understanding of neurodivergent people and how different disorders come under the umbrella of that understanding.

This is a perspective shift. If you’ve ever felt like the diagnostic box didn’t fit your clients (or you), you’re in the right place. Come learn how sensory insight and relational nuance can actually change lives.
